The "art" of patience

Hello Artsy Farty friends!

I wanted to post a quick tip for all of you who have started to embark on new projects!

REMEMBER TO BE PATIENT WITH YOU KIDS

I am still toying with the idea of finger painting!
Nolan has despised messy hands for quite some time, and I think
He might be ready! I am going to try to remember that he is two and
If he doesn't like it ... We will try again soon!

Have any of you tried finger painting? Do you have any tips?

Have an Artsy Fartsy day!

You Are My Sunshine

Welcome!

I am sitting on the couch right now, and as Nate Berkus is designing in the background I am fumbling and determined to make my first post. I was born in the technology world ... So why am I scared to be one with technology? Here goes nothing!

This blog is for my sunshine, my 2 year old son Nolan who keeps me inspired to create meaningful playtime ... I strive to think of projects that will be fun but also Teach him many important things. Sometimes "subject" based, sometimes how to share the paint brush!

Art adds :

1) structure to the day schedule

2) encouragement for being creative

3) A way for parents to play too

This blogging site will not be masterpieces to hand on the museum walls. Instead it will be a showcase of the possibilities ... After all I am only Artsy Fartsy ... Not a true artist. As for my spelling of "Mamma" ... being the musician that I am ... I decided when I was pregnant that I liked "Mamma Mia" the musical. From that point on, my name has been Mamma; but adults call me Liz.

This Artsy Fartsy Mamma welcomes you!
