We used Jell-O the first time we finger-painted. It's probably messier than regular finger paints. And it's DEFINITELY stickier. But, to me, the fact that it is completely edible and non-toxic was more important. Plus, the finished painting smelled awesome. Just dribble hot water into some Jell-O powder until it looks like it is a consistency you can paint with. Then let it cool (won't take long in the fridge) and go for it. Good luck!
